JACUELINE SWEET - MIDNIGHT FEAST
Part of the Bearfield series.
A fun opening night at the Growler turns to chaos when the punch gets spiked by the tricky Raven Queen.
Alison is frazzled, her mate is extra attentive and the guests are all having a great time or freaking out or having an orgy.
A good read.
LILY THORN - HUNTED BY THE ALPHAS part 1
This ends in a cliff-hanger of the worst sort. I HATE that.
Good story up until then, do I want to know what happens yes but I hate encouraging authors who do this so I will not buy the book.
CHRISTY RIVERS - A MATE IN YELLOWSTONE
A lovely story. Felt bad for what Dana had been through, what a douch for an ex. Luckily she found Vince.
An enjoyable read.
JULIA LEIJON - BURNING BRIGHT
Will not be reading this book. This is MM book and not my reading choice. I do not mind ménage but not FF or MM.
CLARA CODY - HER ROGUE BEAR
A good read. Story was well thought out but not sure about the talisman, not really explained except it had immense power and was hard to control. How did Sean’s dad get it?
Liked Lacey, typical reporter, needs to know everything going on. Loved when she sprayed them with bear spray.
ALLISON TELLER - HUNTRESS part 1 of 3 books
This is part one of a Trilogy and ends on a major cliff hanger. I hate that.
Wasn’t too keen on the whole shifters are evil, humans are good crap either. A story of one-sided indoctrinated vision is boring to me and gets me annoyed. Lydia’s boss was lying to the hunters about shifters.
The hunters had killed all the good shifters who were trying to catch the evil one who was doing the killing.
Stupid prejudice does not make for good reading.
Humans can be evil too and shifters can be good. I believe Lydia will improve with the story.
Even though this comes as good value in this box set books two and three equate to $8.00 that makes it nearly $10 in total for one story.
GINGER BLAKE - BEAR CRUISE
I have found a new author.
I did like this story but was a bit annoyed with Olivia for a little while.
Her and Justin, her ex, were not soul mates or he wouldn’t have cheated on her. One year after their split and she had not moved on which shows her to be weak.
Yes, she was jaded and hurt, who wouldn’t be, but with her upbringing and doing the job she did Olivia could not be a weak person.
Things were happening fast, her doubts were justified, but I just think she was acting too silly with her hard heartedblack void crap and ignored her own instincts. Meeting Russell made her come to terms with being emotionally stunted by the breakup.
Luckily she saw sense and stayed with Russell.
Russell seemed like a real gentleman and did everything he could to make Olivia see they were meant to be mates. How she must have hurt him with her attitude even though he knew the mating bond would bring her back to him. Loved him to bits.
BLISS DEVLIN - HER INCUBUS KNIGHT
A good story but not my cup of tea.

A very interesting strange story. I vaguely remember reading this book a long time ago in an anthology.

Some readers don't like these box sets because they include cliffhangers, and first stories to series. I LOVE THEM. Box sets have introduced me to awesome new authors I would never have known about, and wonderful characters, filling the pages of hundreds of books. This box set doesn't disappoint. Several of the stories were firsts in series that I had already read (along with their complete series). The good news is the continuing sagas are now available so if you want to read the remaining stories you can, with no waiting. Most of the stories were novellas, but HER INCUBUS KNIGHT was a full length novel about a shifter version of Beauty and the Beast. You will fall in love with Marie and Gilles, and feel such compassion and hopefulness for them. Marie is on the brink of death after being attacked by a leopard shifter, but is saved by Gilles, who covers himself in robes with large hoods, and wears a mask, because he thinks himself too ugly to be seen as his true self. He tenderly takes care of Marie, and brings her back from the brink of death with his love and care. Marie falls in love with him, but trials await. Marie is marked for death, if she can't learn to control her new leopard shapeshifter abilities. MIDNIGHT FEAST is a story about what happens to shapeshifters on Halloween when they drink punch laced with a special herb that makes them act overly amorous. Let the fun and sex begin! HUNTED BY THE ALPHA is a cliffhanger, but you will want to read the rest of the series, I have, and it was great. An alpha male is supposed to mate with the sister of a rival alpha, to insure peace between the two packs. But what happens when neither are each others fated mates, and they both know it? A MATE IN YELLOWSTONE is about Dana, who is trying to escape heartache and loss, and meets a new love. Vince is a bear shifter and falls for Dana at first sight. Dana's ex shows up, wanting to get back together with her, tempting her with their shared history. Who will she choose? BURNING BRIGHT is about Lucas and Ryan, con men and parners in their thievery. They have known each other since they were kids and have had lovers, but never been attracted to each other romantically. All that changes though, when Ryan becomes a tiger shifter. HER ROGUE BEAR is about Sean, a bear shifter, who was tasked by his dying father to bury a dangerous relic, and make sure it never fell into anyone's hands. To do this, Sean distances himself from his siblings, and cuts off almost all contact. He is living a lonely life when Lacey, his fated mate walks into the bar he manages. He is afraid to get too close because of his secrets, but her pull is strong. He also has to track down a newly changed shifter who is terrorizing the town. HUNTRESS is about a shifter hunter named Lydia and her brother Cole. They believe all shifters are dangerous and have been hunting and killing them. They have been tracking a shifter who has been killing anyone, man, woman, or child, with red hair, when Lydia injures Neal, a wolf shifter. She thinks he is the killer. Neal escapes, but comes back to confront her and explain that most shifters are harmless, she and her brother have killed innocent lives, and they are all trying to catch the same man. A rogue wolf named Harlan Vance. They decide to team up to catch Vance. Neal knows that Lydia is his mate, but keeping her safe will be a problem as she has red hair, and could be the killer's next victim. There are unexpected twists to the story that will keep you guessing until the end. BEAR CRUISE is a charming story about Olivia, who had been with her boyfriend for over seven years, when he dumps her. She has been alone for almost a year, with only her work and her best friend to keep her going. Her friend convinces her to take an Akaskan cruise, and when she gets lost in the Alaskan wilderness, and is almost attacked by two wolves, she meets Russell. Russell is a bear shifter who saves her from the wolves and takes her back to his home. He realizes she is his mate, and Olivia is drawn to Alaska and Russell, but she is afraid that what she is feeling will not last. She needs to forget her fears and go for what she wants. Russell is such a positive, happy, loving character. He has such optimism that Olivia will choose him over her fears. Loved him. TIGER EYE is a short read about Grant. He was attacked by a tiger when he was six, and to save his life a village medicine man had to link him with the tiger, forever changing him into a tiger shifter. Because of his new abilities, his parents remain in Africa, afraid that Grant will turn into a tiger and hurt people in modern civilization. Grant goes to veterinary school in Africa, and works to help and protect the wild African animals. He has kept away from women for years, afraid he would change during lovemaking and kill his partner. He is a tortured soul. Enter Zinsa, a medical doctor who will now be sharing his veterinary space, helping people caught between the local army and resisters. Both are drawn to each other, but Grant's fears cause him to keep pushing Zinsa away, until Zinsa and the clinic are endangered. HOWL FOR ME is about Rafe and Martin. They went to school together, Rafe fell in love with Martin, but to stop being teased, he teased and tormented Martin all through school. He called Martin all kinds of names and laughed at him in order to be with the cool kids. Unbeknownst to Martin, he helps Rafe, when Rafe is attacked as a wolf and ends up at the bakery. Martin helps the animal and shelters it overnight, before it then disappears. Years later Rafe is a millionaire, who buys foreclosed proprties and flips them for profit. Martin is running a bakery, giving generously to charities and giving away free homemade dog treats. Because of his generosity, Martin is not rich, is getting by, but loses his parents home. Naturally Rafe is the one to buy it at auction, and the two reconnect. Rafe still loves Martin, and he must do everything he can to get Martin to forgive him so he can show Martin that he has loved him for years. This is a great boxed set thatvwill keep you reading for hours.

Loved the set!

Really great set of stories, some really different and unique. I love these sets because I always come away with a few authors whose work is so good that I look them up and get one of their other books. All the authors were new to me but really loved the stories. Highly recommend for readers looking for new authors or just for a good read.

This is a great set of stories and most were new to me. I always discover some new authors when I read these sets as well as get to read some stories from my favorite authors. There is a good mix of different types of stories but they all have romance at their heart.

Midnight Feast by Jacqueline Sweet is a story I had read before and enjoyed reading it again. I love the family of bear shifters. She always includes a lot of humor as well as romance in her stories. This one gets the younger generation into the storyline as the Halloween party gets pretty exciting.

Hunted By The Alphas by Lily Thorn is the first part of a series about a vampire hunter and the two shifters who are determined to make her their mate. I really enjoyed it and now want to read the whole series. She has been trained to devote her life to hunting and I suspect there are a lot of secrets in store for her about her origins. The two brothers who want to claim her are hard to resist.


A Mate In Yellowstone by Christy Rivers is the story of a woman in pain who meets a shifter who never thought he would have a mate. Their love heals then both. It is a very sweet story of recovery and a second chance at love.

This was a great combination of several of my favorite authors. I had read a few of these books independently, but I enjoyed reading them again. The OH MY! perfectly describes this collection of books. Each book is a look into the great writing style of the author and as each author is unique this collection is unique and a must have. If you enjoy even a few of the authors included in this set, it is well worth the time and at a great price. This collection includes many different shifter stories and a great variety to add to any library.

This is an amazing set of authors you will enjoy reading this box set. Some of these authors I have not read before and I will definitely be chasing a lot of them up. You will like Jacqueline Sweet's Midnight Feast, Hunted by The Alphas's written by Lily Thorn, Bear Cruise by Ginger Blake just to name a few. Wow what a great read!! Love a box set like this!. Very well written, sexy, hot, and with some suspense. The stories keep you on your toes. I couldn't put it down! I have never read stories by a few of the authors but they are now on my to read list. I was impressed and hooked during the first story. I recommend this set!

Wolves, Cats and Bears Oh My by various authors
For the most part I enjoyed this collection but there were a couple of stories that were less than enjoyable and a couple that were so ‘dry’ that I didn’t bother to finish reading them. It’s these stories that have brought the collection from 5* to 4*.

Shifters Oh My!!

Each story was intriguing and there was every manner of shifter that the imagination could think about. The sex scenes we were hot and it would build up your expectations for the next story. For some it may be quite erotic and not for the take. I'm recommending this book to those with a open imagination.

Good group of books

Quite a variety of books in this collection. Each one hunting or finding their fated mate. Suspense in some, drama in others, good series to start reading.
