Chop (d. 1929), a musicologist in Berlin, wrote a study on the composer Delius which is presented here in a translation by Jones, who also includes the original. The volume contains as well a biographical dictionary by Jones on the people and organizations named in Chop's study, as well as several shorter essays on Delius by Chop (both English and German are provided) and a translation of the extant correspondence between Chop and Delius.
