When I first read Deepak's work I understood that his work is very exquisite and unique. This book is a short parody of a book from the 'Game of Thrones' series. It had politics and so does this story. The story has a more dynamic reach and is set in the corporate world involving marketing, start-up, and a lot of competition. The story is extremely dramatic with entertaining characters. Full of sarcasm, the book is extremely well-researched and the writing style is very clever. An overall enjoyable book.

Are you an ardent fan of‘ A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin or its screen adaptation Game of Thrones? If the wait for the remaining books in the series is too tedious and you are someone who enjoys reading the parody of the same, then Deepak Kaul’s Game of Codes should not be missed.

The book starts with corporate politics and the scene of firing. For once, I thought that there would be a lot of corporate drama related to internet security and scrutiny. But gradually, the familiar characters start emerging with their known traits all set up in the modern era. They are all involved in the cut-throat competition to make their mark in the corporate world and occupy the iron throne. And they used every tactic in their arsenal to meet the objective. The treatment in the parody was similar to that in the original series.

Humorous sarcasm is the sole purpose of the parody. And Deepak Kaul was bang on target in this regard. The subtle presence of sarcasm would keep you hooked and interested in the storyline as to know the outcome of this rat race.

Overall, I enjoyed reading this contemporary parody on the Games of Throne. I have my laughing out loud moments in the book.

‘Game of Codes’ by Deepak Kaul is a parody o f the famous book series ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’. The book is set in the current business scenario but the funny part is that the characters are from the series. I must say that the author has excellently co-related the series with the current scenarios. The plot is uniquely blended with the series and its character making the overall plot amazing. The characters are presented in a different way and at times they will also make you laugh. I liked the writing style of the author and at times it is very sarcastic and at times will leave you laughing. Language is simple and lucid and the narration is to the point. The pace of the book is also good making the reading more pleasurable. The book cover is simple yet meaningful and is apt to the plot. The title of the book is also apt to the plot.
Overall, it was a good read and I would surely recommend it to all

Game of Codes by Deepak Kaul is a satire and parody of the extremely popular TV show ‘Game of Thrones’ which is in turn based on the book ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’. As the author starts with an introduction of how this book is inspired from the show, the reader will be intrigued to know how this thought of satire originated from a fiction show.

However, the story is beyond the readers expectations as the characters of the original show are retained as is with the same names though in a modern corporate setup. Even their character traits and behavior are retained so for those who already watched the show the transformation into a modern setting can be amusing as well as entertaining.

The author touches a lot of contemporary internet and corporate happenings and hence a lot of such lingo is used, which can be related to by people aware of these sectors. However, the same can be a disadvantage for those not aware of the show or a corporate setup as some sequences can be overwhelming and alien.

This is the third work from the author that I have picked, and I am accustomed to his quirky style of writing. The mere idea of adapting the Westeros into today’s world is exhilarating; the fun and sarcasm is on-point and in less than 70 pages, the author has squeezed the entire show content.

If you are a fan of the show or quirky short tales, then this is a must read.

What happens when you are in conflict ?

This book is a written by Deepak Kaul, which talks about something which is least known -

"Should I be selective and keep my focus? Should I accept all the friend requests and quickly get to 10,000 friends? Will that generate more interest and eventually the right sort of friend requests? Or will I get lost in their online avatars and world's in role playing games? Should I also get onto Twitter to expand my scope?

This is the main problem which we as individuals face???

If you agree do let me know......

The book is "Game Of Codes" which is a perfect blend of trends and passion. It focus on what we should do/ what we should not do.

The story line is having narrative style which will make you think that it's a flow which increases your interest in the book.

About the character's I would not mention as there are many points which I can mention -

1) "If I look Back, I am lost" - Deep, indepth meaning which means no looking back, keep looking forward.

2) There is topics of discussion where a reader can get brief insights on "Hedge Fund Manager", "Insider Trading"

The book is a gripping tale which is imagination of the author which has given something better to the story line.
Something bigger are worth it to happen - so while reading this I thought about "Games Of Thrones"

Why to read this book -

I am sure, if I will be successful in answering the why I would have a greater impact on the Audience.

I would suggest that those who are interested in having international exposure you can definitely try this book.. this book has been crafted well, is a short read which will manifold your interest as you will start from chapter 1.

Some of the practical aspects are been covered that one is not allowed to reveal what you know. That is a correct boost to anyone who have not experienced a Proffesional platform in their life and are still growing up can take this book.

Do read and let me know your experience.

I hope it would Help you all.
To my lovely readers 💓

I haven't read the original Game of thrones books, and I haven't watched the series as well. I knew all the pop culture references so it was fun to read this one and find the all the little references here and there. The best part about it all is the fact that it's in modern day world. This made reading it very fun.
Looking forward to more such books.

“This is the game of codes, Ned. It’s all about creating and controlling the algorithms. You win, or you go bust,” said the Queen coldly.
.

This book is related to the corporate world. Marketing, start-up business, seeders & competitors. It's a complete journey through different characters in a dramatic manner. Inspired from the game of thrones it follows the qualities of characters relatable.
For understanding, this book one should know a little bit of corporate marketing & Got as well. As I watched the famous show I can understand what's going on. So before picking this one do research about different characters of got.
The other part is corporate marketing. It is a field in which there are many players seeking better growth with a competitive spirit. Sometimes it is legfork & sometimes brings victory but overall purpose to achieve the goal. Sometimes it seems funny to find the characters you know in a different avatar. This book is that type of. Unpredictable incidents with characters & their situations & their dialogues { the most enjoyable part of this book }.
As we proceed further we can see many scenes of programming and conspiracies.
😁 Literally, I like the terminology author used.
.
Writing style - most of the part of the story is on the form of dialogues. The connection between characters and their role in the situation is good. In between the story, we can find a lot of funny relatable of the digital world with workers.
It's like a drama with politics, sarcasm & recreation.
The first thing before reading this book is required I mentioned above- knowledge of got with characters & then you can enjoy this book thoroughly.

When I picked up this book, I was intrigued by the cover and name. The author’s note before the story began was a refreshing read in itself. I was amused to know that this actually was a parody of the famous book series ‘A song of ice and fire’. Didn’t recognize that one? Ok, wait. ‘Game of throne’, recognized? Yes, that very web series that had everyone gripping their phones and laptops for last season that, well spoiled it all.

I had never ever thought that a series as huge and so chaotic can be turned into parody, and parody that good! This book really do presents the story of Westeros in a way never ever thought before the author decided to pen it down.

The story is based in contemporary world of big businesses and IT companies. There are several present day references for us to marvel at. But the twist is that the characters are from GOT and filled with connection in technological world just as we watched in the fictional world.

The characters are all included in the story with a tinge of contemporary world of technologies. In fact, the whole Kingdom of Westeros has been turned into a huge IT kingdom in contemporary world full of sharks for businesspeople and Godfather like Tyson lannister, just in a bit different way.

And even though you know the story of game of thrones, you will be sucked into game of codes to understand the contemporary positioning of your favourite characters.

The one thing which really excited me while reading was the presence of contemporary examples in the story. The amusing part is that they all blended quite beautifully into the story. This says a lot about the fabulous work author has done.

The writing style of the author is satirical and full of sarcasm at points that will leave you giggling to yourself while your parents are glaring at you and wondering whom are you talking with. The subtle comments and random contemporary issues raised by the author blend completely into the story instead of standing out. This somehow enhances the beauty of the story and makes it more interesting to read. At times I had to re read the sentences to grasp the sarcasm and I didn't regret it.

The cover is also a brilliant depiction of what is going to be within the pages of the book. The dark theme resonates with the story of internet and IT companies as well as the dark and musty story on which this parody is based on.

Although the original series comprise of 5 thick books and original TV series of 8 seasons, the author here has encompassed a huge part of the story in these few pages. To all the people waiting for the answer, no it is not complete parody of GOT but a part of it. A guess next part will be coming out soon. You should read this one, it's amazing.

I always wondered how will Game of Thrones look if the events occurred in the modern world and finally I found out this book. It is mostly inspired by the GOT world. Firstly the title is perfect for the book. I loved the way the author has converted the whole GOT storyline in the modern dynamic world with the rivalry between business and competition over the internet. Also, I loved the way the author has integrated various modern-day characters in the story like Bruce Banner and many more. The only reason for giving one star less would be a lot of technical terms or jargon would say; as at some places for common people, it becomes difficult to understand.

Rest loved the book and will surely recommend to all those who thought how would GOT look like if it had occurred in modern times!

The ‘Game of Codes’ by Deepak Kaul is a book filled with snippets from the remarkable book and web series ‘The Game of Thrones’ set in the present time and era in the modern world of computers & technology.

Although first look at the title of the book suggested that this might be a storyline based on a corporate office politics involving some secretive codes it wasn’t anywhere near to it. As my eyes read further through the pages made me realize that all of the character’s name is also similar as in ‘The Game of Thrones’ with their respective roles and behaviour as well. The sole difference was that in ‘Game of Codes’, the characters’ key roles weren’t described as deep as they were in the original series.

The author, Deepak Kaul, reasonably managed to weave the chapters intriguingly with the humorous sarcasm observed repeatedly in the narrative. However, the author’s grip on the characters described did falter at several places which bothered me a bit. Furthermore, one other thing bothered me, why did the author decide to go with the complex storyline of ‘Game of Thrones’ and not write a unique storyline involving politics of the corporate world with his own fictional characters and narrative. This is one book I have come across which shall receive an extensive array of mixed reviews from the readers so not divulging details further, I would like to leave this to the other readers to develop their own opinions.
