His mother made a deal with the devil for all the money, beauty, and power she could ever want for a decade. Time flies when you're having fun. In a desperate attempt to save herself she became pregnant thinking that since the unborn child hadn't sold his soul then he couldn't be brought to hell. So she wouldn't be able to be dragged to hell on a technicality. The devil didn't see it that way, and he pulled them both into the fiery bowels of hell.
Nero Naught became the first ever untethered soul. Since his mother was pulled into hell she couldn't actually bring Nero into the world. So he's a soul without a body, and since he never promised Lucifer his soul, he can't be held down in hell. Because of this little fact Nero can't go to heaven, but he can't be kept in hell. Nero is a cosmic loophole.
This is a paranormal story without any erotica at all. I know I'm almost exclusively an erotica writer, but once in a while I like to color outside the lines. This is one of those times.
