Three pregnant teenage girls, three different choices how to deal with this situation. The stories are losely linked together.
I love that the author isn't judgmental, her goal isn't to critize or to make readers see which decision is the "right" one, but to show that witchever decision they make they have to cope with the hard consequences.
None of these girls were as sadly many christians imagine girls to be who get pregnant at such a young age. These are nice girls full of hope and plans who clearly made a wrong decision that they deeply regret. And - surprise - the boys weren't the monsters who took advantage. These are real people searching the best solution not only for themselves but for their babies too. They all go through deep crisis and fear that God can't love them anymore.
But God's love is unconditional.
Although this is a serious problem that can change your life forever it isn't depressing, sometimes it's even funny.
Yes, there is bad language und there are sexual scenes. That's exactly what makes the story feel real.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Conceptions follows three women's journeys through unplanned premarital sex pregnancies.
We first met Joni, Shanna, and Tabitha in Seeds. Of course I had my favorite couple and couldn't wait to see what happened with them. You can read Conceptions as a standalone but I highly recommend you read Seeds too because it's an equally amazing book.

Conceptions follows three different women and their three different choices during their unplanned pregnancies. Each story interchanges with the others in ways you won't see coming at times. Each girl has been raised in a church and was taught that you should wait to have sex until your married like it says in the Bible. You will follow each girls story as she learns she's pregnant, the choice she makes, and the consequences of each choice. It's heartbreakingly beautiful to be on each girls journey. You will laugh and cry right asking with them. I loved every second of it's was so in awe of Wendy's ability to take you places you never thought you wanted to go and back while healing your heart along the way. I am so antisooiler I don't want to say much about the story for fear of giving away surprises that need to be experienced.

As always Wendy Stensel Oleston as done an absolutely amazing job with Conceptions.mive read every single book she has ever written. I am so loving watching her grow as an author with each book she writes. I can not wait to see where she takes me next.

Thank you Wendy Stensel Oleston for approaching a topic that has started firey debates and pitted many people against each other. It's a subject no one will ever feel the same about but you approached these topics with such grace and beauty and the results are on amazing book everyone should read at some point in their life.

I had been anxiously waiting for this book to be published. It had me intrigued from the beginning, so as soon as it was available I bought it. I love this book. This book is about 3 different young women who face an unplanned pregnancy. It goes on to tell each of their stories but, the cool part is the stories end up all being connected in some way. I love the way that Wendy wove the stories together. It takes us on an emotional ride through their choices and decisions and then the consequences of those decisions in a way that tugs at our emotions. This book couldn't get any closer to being real unless you were to experience it yourself. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone. Especially young girls who are about to become intimate and those that are facing a pregnancy that they haven't planned on. It would be a great book choice for a high school health class as well. There is so much raw emotion and knowledge in this book that everyone can benefit from it. It was absolutely fantastic.
