King Ledric could be the one man to help Merida escape the torments of Gavid, the man she had called "father." Ledric and the mysterious elf who witness Merida's torment vow to save her and find out everything that she can tell them about Gavid. Gavid flees to the desert to escape King Ledric's wrath over the murder committed right in front of the ruler's eyes. Orcs and goblins mining the area agree to fight with him to take over the city. Dissatisfied with the reports of Siebrien's progress in takiing over other towns, Gavin plans to kill Siebrien and take become the conqueror himself.
