Working through this book, I found that the practice tests provided here were good. The practice tests cover a wide variety of language arts sections, including text comprehension, language usage, and speaking. Wouldn't hurt to pick up a copy of this book if you're planning on taking the test.
Read this over a couple days preparing for this test and it was a pretty good prep. After taking the test this morning, I have to say that the practice tests here were a lot harder than the real thing. Some of the practice questions in the book seem too easy to be true, but they were actually pretty accurate. I noticed tons of questions on the test that were almost word for word the same as the practice qs here. The only thing I would critique it on is that some of its explanations for incorrect and correct answers left me confused and it didn't organize some information well. For instance, it had two lists of logical fallacies for the test, but for the life of me I could never find the second, longer list. The editors should consider including an index so it's easier to reference information when going through incorrect answers. Overall, pretty good. I think I did well. The kicker on this test (at least for me) was the information about teaching practices. I would've been lost on that and probably would've failed if I hadn't picked this up.
A good study guide for the Praxis, although I didn't feel it went in-depth enough on teaching situations as that is what those of us doing an alternative route to teaching need the most help on.
