thrilling fast paced story
Good story but dated regarding attitude to women, prostitution, sexual abuse and slavery and abuse of minors.
I read and enjoyed it in spite of this.

This Thai romp is just a real fun read - creating an entertaining drama in theater of your mind of an Asia soon to be lost. Some say this part of the world, and its cultures can easily bemuse the minds of men.
The read is fast paced and dovetails perfectly with the time frame of its locution. In and out of print, it stands up superbly against the deluge of the current Thai and Asian writers. Find it - read it. Big fun.

Read this book during a trip to Thailand, so it was great to associate with the places in the book which is set in Thailand. Basically an adventure novel, I imagined the main character as Bruce Willis. Far fetched and fun.
