A tactical necessity

This manual was written after the civil war and contains summary explanations and judgments on the strategies used. If you want to gain an understanding of the strategies that were used, this is an invaluable resource. However, if you don’t have a grasp of the terminology, you will have to spend a great deal of time researching those terms as you read.
