A quick, but fulfilling finale of the story. Sadly, this coulda been done in book 3, but writers today seen to have adopted the "string 'em along" mentality. Oh well..
I just want to let out one big loud scream of YASSSSS!!!!!! She came back and really reinforced my belief that this girl is one heck of a writer. It's no secret that I loved parts 1 & 2 and part 3 I was just like WHAT HAPPENED?? But if I ever doubted Ms. Diamond Johnson's skills she has eliminated every single doubt in my mind because part 4 was absolutely GREAT!!!!! Every single issue I had with part 3 was ultimately addressed. As a reader I appreciate when an author listens to her readers and attempts to placate us. The relationship with Quan and Charlie, Dre and Toya, and Monae and Quay was right on point. We were able to see some of our favorite couples come back together and all of the loose ends were wrapped up and tied in a beautiful big bow!!! Now the most surprising character of them all was Ms. Chantel. She is truly evidence of someone taking a second chance and COMPLETELY turning their life around. She was probably one of the most HATED characters in this series and yet Ms. Johnson was able to take her and mold her into someone that I know I was 100% cheering for. KUDOS MS.Johnson!!!!! This is more than a 5-star read. If I could give you more stars trust and believe me I would. If you haven't picked up this series you are MISSING OUT on a FANTASTIC VOYAGE!!!!! Don't sleep on Ms. Johnson because she has proven that she can hang with the best of them!! I can't wait to see what she has for us next!!!!
This book definitely pick upright where part 3 left off. I was happy to see Chantal finally grew up and made something of her self. I loved charlie and Quan relationship. I was happy to see everyone gotten happy ending.
“There they go right there. Ay, Quan and Dre,” Davion called out and waved them over. As they made their way in our direction, I sat back in my seat, hoping that Davion’s muscular body would shelter them from seeing me. “What’s good?” they both asked as soon as they made their way over to us. “Man, I just wanted y’all to know that y’all did a good ass job up there. One brotha to another, you niggas is the truth for real. Whenever y’all decide to come to Naples, please hit me up because I got a club out there and I would love for y’all to come out and perform,” Davion said. He reached in his suit jacket and passed them his card. “I appreciate that though, my nigga, and thanks for the support,” Quan said. He was about to walk away, but Davion stopped him. “Chantel, you don’t want to speak? I saw the way your ass was drooling over these niggas on stage,” Davion said, trying to be funny. Quan heard the name, Chantel, and he quickly looked in my direction. Our eyes instantly met. He laughed out loud like this was the biggest joke of the century. “Hell nah, nigga. This your bitch?” Quan asked, being totally disrespectful. “Ay, no need for all of that, man! She just a fan,” Davion said, which pissed me off even more. That shit was too embarrassing. “Yeah, she a fan alright, my nigga. I hope you got long money because Chanel ain’t no regular bitch. In fact, she’s a money hungry, grimy ass bitch. She don’t shop Forever 21 or H&M, nah that’s too cheap for her. She’s an ole high maintenance bitch. She wants you to take her to Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, shit like that. The bitch told you how she participated in kidnapping my motha fuckin’ seven-year-old daughter? I bet she didn’t because that’s the type of bitch she is. Have fun with her though, and oh, don’t eat or drink anything this bitch gives you if you didn’t see her make the shit right in front of you. Last time this bitch cooked for me, I woke up with my pants down and my dick out. But on the bright side though, she can suck a mean ass dick,” Quan said and then walked away. Davion looked at me like I disgusted him, and I just held my head down in shame. There was nothing I could do to defend myself because out of everything Quan had just said, he didn’t lie about shit.
1. Do you think the sexuality of Jaquan and Monae’s father was reason enough for him to not be in his kids’ lives throughout the years?
No I don’t think so. Unless you’re a pedophile or something like that there is no reason to not be in your child’s life.
2. Do you think that Monae and Jaquan should have been so forgiving toward their father or should they have chosen to reject him because of his absence?
Yes. It’s okay to forgive. I mean he is their father.
3. Do you think that Chantel deserves her happiness with Davion? Or is he too much of a good man for her?
Everyone deserves to be happy BUT I did not want to read about Chantel’s happy ending. I mean she drugged Quran AND she stole Quan’s sperm, then came up with a plan and proceeded to kidnap his daughter. Yeah, that’s the only thing I didn’t like about this book... reading Chantel’s happy ending. I’m glad she matured but she needed to suffer because she don’t know what Tracy could have did with China.
4. Did you think that James received the proper Karma or should Dre have been the one to seek his revenge for him?
Nah. His karma was good.
5. Do you think that Jaquan should have handled Chantel a different way when he ran into her at the club with Davion? Since, she took part in the kidnapping of his daughter.
I think he handled it the best way as to not jeopardize his family or freedom.
6. How do you feel about Toya getting the abortion? Should she have waited to have the baby and find out the paternity? Or did you agree with the action that she took?
I agreed because she hadn’t been with Dre. I’m confused as to why she didn’t get the morning after pill from the hospital though.
7. How do you feel about Monae’s and Quay’s relationship? Do they have what it takes to have a “till death do us part” relationship?
I love them together, lol. Monae’s ass is CRAZY!!!!
8. How do you feel about Charlie fighting while she was pregnant? Do you feel like she should have waited until after her pregnancy, or was it okay for her to handle the situation the way she did when she ran into Nita at the mall?
Nah. She knows she was wrong for fighting while pregnant especially that far along.
9. What was your reaction to Dre proposing to Toya at the baby shower? Did you see that coming?
Loved it 😍😍!!!
10. Last but not least, who is your favorite 305 Lovin’ couple and why?
Dre and Toya definitely. He is crazy and she’s a bitch and they just mesh well together. I love how he went and beat Jame’s for fucking putting his hands on Toys. I also love how truthful he is.
I have to say I am very proud of everyone's growth, especially Chantel. I'm sad Tracy didn't get a chance to right his wrongs, but we all know how that goes. I'm glad Toya didn't get depressed after all the series of events that were happening to her. I'm happy she made the right decisions for herself. I have to say that Dre really stepped up to the plate to be the man God, his grandma and his woman prayed and wanted him to be, but along the way grew into a better man that we're seeing everyday. Charlie and Quan are doing their thing. Growing together and building the trust they need to become a stronger unit for themselves and family. Monae is doing her thing I'm glad Quay and her are working to build the trust and love in their relationship, but most of all I'm glad she's been bitten by the motivation bug to find her craft and purpose in life. I'm just happy that everyone got their own happily ever after. What a great journey getting to know the characters. Oh, and one more thing. I'm so glad Quan and Monae got the chance to build a relationship with their dad, because of certain situations most people dont get the chance that often. Great series to read. ReneeG 👍
I enjoyed the series, but everyone except Chantel got their Karma, it’s no coming back from things she did. Her fate was too Unrealistic. She was the mastermind, but the 2 who she got to go along with her plan was dealt karma..not fair. Chantel threatened Nita with a gun to go along with her plan, she was not doing it for money, because she declined to help her when she offered money. It was when she got her gun. Nita agreed. I just was not happy for Chantel. She didn’t have to do it, but it crossed her mind to kill Quan’s daughter for money during the kidnapping. Instead she had a happily ever after. I was happy for everyone else.
This was a great book. I am especially glad that Tracy got what he deserve as well as James. I get Chantal had a happy ending but she didn't deserve it especially not what she took part in when it came to Quan and Charlie's daughter. I am though glad that everyone who deserved a happy ending finally got it.
I LOVED LOVED this entire series!!!... Although Evangelical was dead ash wrong, I was sooo happy they did not kill her because karma comes in all forms and what is meant to happen to her will!!!...All the happiness , struggles and joy these couple were able to experience made them grow!!!...
I hated to see it end. I'm actually happy for Chantel. We go through life and make mistakes. She was given a second chance and she making the best of it. All of my favorite couples did come out clean in the wash.
I honestly liked the book. Just some parts just annoyed me at the end. I feel like Monae and Quay wasn’t talked about so much. I feel that Dre could have handled that James situation better, I mean come on the dude raped your girl.
This was such an awesome books readings as couples go through trials and tribulations and come it string willing to do whatever it takes to keep their relationship strong. Ms. Johnson did a BANG UP JOB WITH THUS BOOK. Looking forward to reading more books by this author.
Love this series. I usually don't like books that narrates the story line but this book has a way of reeling u in and making u want more. This is a must read
Okay okay all the men grew up and thank you Lord cause I was sick of all them. Charlie why you fighting and pregnant smh but I get that it got the best of you in the moment. Toya I hate you had to go through that but happy you got a great ending. Quan finally became the man Charlie needed him to be too happy. Monae and Quay hopefully they stand strong and remain together. James and his daddy got exactly what they deserved but I wanted more to happen frfr. I can’t lie I’m happy for Chantel even though she was dead wrong but she finally realized happiness can come without the money.
Happy Chantel changed but girl needed to apologize to Charlie & Quan because kidnapping they child and drugging Q was crazy and everything was her idea. No sympathy for Tracy, Wal Mart chick or the James. All my favs couples growth was good to read about esp Quan & Dre! Looking forward to the next story! China is such a little diva!!!
Enjoyed this book story was well written enjoyed the couples up and down love the ending leave you with thought to forgiveness Thank you for writing this book keep writing!
Man this was so touching. I'm glad Quan and Monae gave their dad a chance even tho he was wrong. Little China was a spoil little cutie. Chanel finally got the man in her life. Everybody need love. Diamond Johnson I love it.
