This book was very helpful while planning my recent vacation to Charleston & Savannah, with the caveat that the information it contains is mostly about Charleston. The other locations covered (the Grand Strand, Savannah, and the Golden Isles) are insufficient in planning your trip, as they are just too short. On the other hand, pros include accurate (if tiny) maps, high quality paper, as well as full color photographs.

This book is a good tool to have if you're planning a trip to Charleston, maybe even Savannah, but I would strongly suggest you complement it with the much better (in every way) Charleston & Savannah, by Moon.

I'm not sure whether I should say that I read this book, since it is more of a reference book. But I did refer to it often during my recent trip to Charleston & Savannah. As a reference librarian, I have looked at several different publications of this type, but Michelin is new to me. It is very well organized with short descriptions of places to visit. There are list of "must-sees" for each city and things that would appeal to children, especially. The small size makes it easy to slip into a purse or bag. My only criticism is that the bulk of the book refers to Charleston and Savannah is somewhat slighted. I will look for this series when I travel in the future and recommend it to anyone traveling.

For a guidebook with Savannah listed in its title, there is very little on Savannah.
