Another basic book with suggested plants, fruit, soft fruit and herb ideas. This one also covers pruning and topiaries. Some very helpful suggestions on the proper additives for each plant.

Smallish book well illustrated with pictures, photos, sketches and planting plans. Six main sections: cottage garden tradition, what is a cottage garden, design and planting, living with a cottage garden, through the seasons, and key plants.

Gives a few planting plans and schemes (e.g. for borders or veg garden) and is mostly concerned with soft landscaping and uses of plants.
