This is a FANTASTIC book. A short read with tons of nuggets. Whether for writers or teachers, there's so much to learn from this around there main ideas: economy, energy, and subtlety. "if words are to enter men's hearts and bear fruit, they must be the right words shaped cunningly to pass men's defenses and explode silently and effectually within their minds." JB Phillips

Very helpful. Challenges the writer or speaker to strive for economy, energy, and subtlety. Great ex challenges. Well written. A quick read.

A short (85 page) book tossing out tips amateurs and seasoned writers a like can learn from. Nichols encourages economy (avoiding wordiness), energy, and subtlety as the three aims of Christian communication. Those are three sound exhortations.

I'll certainly be referring back to the book's checklists and tips. Unfortunately, the author speaks down to the reader as amateurs and has a few pet issues she harps on (like using the word *this*) that, while true, are addressed too extensively in such a compact book.
