This book is an invaluable resource for anyone running an LCMS church Altar Guild. So many guidelines and explanations provided, including what is proper practice and which areas are purely adiaphora. In fact, I would recommend this book for anyone serving on an Altar Guild in any capacity to understand the how and the why and to learn all the names for the sacred vessels and linens being used. This short but meaty manual is one I will reach for and review regularly.
