I haven’t read any other of this series’ books, but it was so easy to get engaged in the story even without having invested in any of the other books. Ms. Marcus pulls you right into the story as she tells a tale of two people that are falling for each other in the most romantic way. Ren Monighan is a businessman. Smart. Good-looking. And, definitely confident. He has an air about him that the ladies just can’t ignore. When he meets Anya Solokov, she stirs something in him. She’s beautiful. With dark hair and alluring eyes, she’s a sight to behold. And, when he finally talks to her he knows without a doubt this woman could mean something to him. Their story evolves some twelve months later when Ren goes to New York City looking for Anya. What Ren finds throws him totally off his guard. And, it’s nothing for which he is prepared. What will happen to this couple when they really take a chance of getting to know each other?
This was a refreshing novella that kept my interest the whole time. This might be a short story, but there’s so much emotion and tenderness packed into those 91 pages. The banter between these two was fun and amusing. Some of the things they said had me chuckling quite often. Anya definitely could hold her own. She was not a woman to let any man push her around and make decisions for her. And, Ren, oh man! He was all male. But, he was responsible and caring. His feelings were definitely honest. He was a man who without a doubt had everyone’s best interest at heart. The two were just perfect together. And, the intimacy they shared was steamy and arousing. This is one impressive gem that shouldn’t be missed!

A Dare with Consequences marks my first time reading a Dare to Love: Kindle Worlds novella. I’ll admit, I wasn’t sure how the world was created or how other books were connected, if at all. For A Dare with Consequences, Wendy S. Marcus borrowed Ian and Gabe Dare, the Island of Eden, Eden Elite Resorts, and the Dare's Manhattan club, all of which are found in Carly Phillips Dare to Love series.
Wendy has used elements found in Carly’s series to create a loveable and endearing couple. A Dare with Consequences is an easy read without a lot of drama. A dare between college friends results in a one night stand and an unplanned pregnancy. Ren Monighan is a funny, amazingly likeable guy from the very beginning. Anya Solokov is likable as well. She’s strong, independent, feisty and doesn’t take grief from anyone. I’m pretty sure I have a girl crush on her.
One night and one dare changed their lives forever. When Ren discovers Anya gave birth to his twins, he pulls out all the stops to make sure she knows she and the babies belong with him. But Anya isn’t about to play the damsel in distress role and bend to Ren’s will. Compromise becomes the key to these two having the life the Island of Eden has planned for them.
I simply loved this story because of the characters and their actions. My only complaint is that I wish the story was longer. I’m pretty sure I’ve fallen for Ren’s brother Ryan. I would love to get the opportunity to read his story one day. I now find myself obsessing over the other books in this series.

A quick love story to get your HEA in between reading dark thriller romance. Wendy's stories always makes me smile & gives me hope that all is not lost in love.

On a weekend wedding getaway, Ren is "dared" by his friends to get the sexy bartender to agree to spend the night with him. It's a night with Anya or he has to give his friend his Harley. Ren, who shares the love of Harley's with his twin Ryan, vows not to lose the dare. He loves his Harley too much!
Ren approaches Anya with the hopes of convincing her to spend the night with him. Anya, who is solely focused on her life goals, is not willing to let anything or anyone stand in her way of attaining those goals--at first. Ren's charm finally wins Anya over and she agrees to spend the night with him....
A year and three trips to NYC later, Ren finally catches Anya at work. Anya is nothing like the woman he spent the night with the previous year! She's angry, won't speak to him, and has "Ryan" thrown out of the bar. Ren finds out that Anya, after trying to get ahold of him for a year, thinks he's his twin brother Ryan--who's been avoiding her.
Consequences of their one night stand bring these two together for a common goal, but will it be enough for them to build a life together? This story ends with a HEA and is not a cliffhanger. Yay! I truly enjoyed this novel! It was the first Kindle World Dare and Wendy S. Marcus novel I've read. I will definitely be reading more of both!!! I highly recommend this novel.

I Loved This!!! I need to devour the Dare series because each book I read just gets better.
This one is about aonenight stand leading to conquences made worse by twin concussion. It's full of sexy banter and serious moments.
Anya is an overly independent woman who makes the best of situations but is quick to jump to conclusions. She puts her foot down before knowing all the facts and digs her heels in. She a character you can't help but love, I want to help her out with the babies and teach her to trust.
Ren is her opposite. He's more trusting, but used to getting his own way. I really like Ren. His family is everything you can hope for, an overprotective twin brother and loving parents.
I need to look for more Wendy Marcus books as I truly love her writing style.

This was my first read in the Dare to Love Kindle World novellas and I thought it was a great read! The chemistry between the characters was apparent right from the start. I loved that Anya was a strong, independent woman and wouldn't give up on her dreams of getting her MBA and making a better life for herself, no matter what life threw at her. I loved that Ren stepped up to his responsibilities, but also wanted to be with Anya and could see a real future together.

LOVED this story! It's a light, sexy, quick read that fits the Dare to Love series perfectly. Ren and Anya are great characters that seem perfect for each other. Both strong, supportive, and loving. One crazy passionate night that leads to some wonderful surprises and a beautiful life. Definitely one for the must read list. I highly recommend it.

Wendy S. Marcus has done it again with A Dare with Consequences. She has written a story about characters I absolutely fell in love with and a story that does not at all go the way I expect. in general, I am not a fan of one-night stand romances, but I trust Marcus’ writing enough that she is an auto-read for me. I was rewarded with a wonderful novella filled with a handsome hero that had me swooning over the type of man he turned out to be. The heroine is a kickass, independent woman determined to make it on her own and not take the easy way out. The story had the right amount of build up with great character development and an original take on a common romance trope.
Ren and Anya’s story is one of passion and struggle. These characters provide us with realistic life decisions. They are doing their best with the hand they have been dealt in life. The only thing that is preventing them from being together is themselves. They have to learn how to trust one another and to give in to the feelings they hold for the other. It’s such a good story.
When a book encourages me to be a better, stronger person once I am done with it, I call that a win. A Dare with Consequences is a true love story that will warm your heart and give you happy sighs when you finish. I highly recommend you give it a read!

This is a fairly lightweight novella about two people who connected briefly and then have to live with the consequences. No spoilers there considering the title.
Ren is starting up his own business selling using computer software for virtual reality training in the sport arena. His twin brother Ryan is a player with a major team that I assume is part of the "Kindle World" we are entering with this novella.
So Ren hooks up with Anya on a dare from a couple of his old mates and finds they have a real connection. She is in Florida temporarily and he tries to track her down in NYC but it takes a year for them to connect again.
Anya life has been turned upside down in those twelve months with the consequences of that night. The story, after the initial connection, is about how they come to terms with parenthood, the disruption of Anya's career and the possibility of a relationship considering they live in different cities.
This was a cute little novella with a fairly explicit heat level. The solution was interesting and positive. I enjoyed the read.

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ This novella was a super quick read. Ren and Anya were sweet together. I did find the story felt like it moved a bit too fast in some parts.. However, the writing was well done and I wished that a few scenes were longer. I loved Ren and Anya’s first conversation . They had great banter. I would have loved to see Ren learning to handle certain situations on his own.. I think that could have been amusing.
All and all, this was a good novella. I hear that Ren’s brother Ryan is getting a story. I look forward to reading it… though secretly, since I found him a bit arrogant, I hope he has to work hard to win the woman he's after!

"Dare To Love Series: A Dare with Consequences" by Wendy S. Marcus is book 1 in her series for 'Kindle World.' In this story we meet Anya Solokov who is a woman with a troubled past but who is trying to earn her MBA at NYU in order to better her life. We also meet Ren Monighan who will become a very successful businessman in the world of virtual reality play. The two come together for one night of passion that gets complicated when Anya becomes pregnant, and Ren is under the assumption that he would not be able to father children. (Some sexual content so not suitable for younger readers.) I loved this story that I couldn't put the book down.

An easy read that was my first introduction to the Dare to Love series of books.
Great characters in Anya and Ren and their chemistry was explosive! I loved that Anya wants to stand on her own two feet and won't give Ren the time of day when they meet again a year later after a very memorable night. The confusion over Ren being a twin was great fun to watch and I look forward to his brother Ryan's story as well.
An author I have only discovered recently and look forward to more in both this series and future standalones.
Overall, a well-written happy novella that is well worth your time.

This is a thoroughly fantastic book. Not going spoil it but there were some surprises that kind of made me catch my breath because I didn't see it coming. The characters are very interesting and the hot factor had me fanning more than a couple of times. I love the Dare Kindle World and this one did not disappoint!! READ IT!! You won't be sorry!!

Great Read
I really enjoyed this book. Ren and Anya are great together. Anya had a terrible childhood but she is determined to be nothing like her family. Do to the confusion of Ren being an identical twin and Anya not knowing it they don't see each other for a year. When they finally do, boy are they both in for some surprises.

This was a fun, quick read! I truly enjoyed the characters! Their connection seemed real from the start. Great novella! Ren & Anya sizzle! Now - I want Ryan's story!
