Myrtle Fillmore, Mother of Unity

Rate this book
Myrtle Fillmore was a pioneer in Christian metaphysics. Her successful use of affirmative prayer inspired her husband Charles to pursue metaphysical thought as well. This biography of the dynamic cofounder of Unity gives a moving account of Myrtle's life and the history of the Unity movement. It was researched, written, and edited over a two-year period. The author, Thomas E. Witherspoon, pored over thousands of documents, letters, and articles by or about Mrs. Fillmore; visited every area where she lived; and talked to many people who knew her personally. This insightful volume also includes some of Myrtle's personal thoughts, favorite affirmations, and samples of her inspiring poetry.
