My preferred guide is the full (not pocket) version of this book, so I was excited to see a pocket guide was being released. For obvious reasons (they have the room to do it), the full size version is definitely superior, but this book is a good size (narrow enough to fit in a large back pocket or small back pack, although not thin as far as pages/width goes) and will make a good quick reference guide in the field. I definitely recommend picking up the complete book if you enjoy this one, but this one is a good addition to my collection. (I will admit I noticed a missing bird or two I think should have been included, hence the 4 stars, as I think it could be a little bit more complete, but that's me being picky.)
