Automne 1953.
In volume 2 Jacques Gibrat tries to find out who is behind the gang of criminals that rob people while wearing bags over their faces. Apparently a man named Henri Polinet is their leader – he just broke out of prison, and Jacques' mission is to find him.
I liked this volume slightly better than the first. Still, I found the story itself not that impressive, and again the characters stay very flat.
I am noticing that Jacques flirts with every other woman he meets and they all have a thing for him, so they agree to go out with him. Once in every story they drop some piece of information that then helps Jacques with his case. This is about the only role female characters play in this comic series so far (with the exception of a secretary), other than that everyone is male.
