The Charge of the Mouse Brigade, by Bernard Stone is exactly what it sounds like; a retelling of Alfred, Lord Tennyson's poem, The Charge of the Light Brigade, only the soldiers are portrayed by mice and cats. This tiny book is very amusing and I think it is a good way for young minds to get exposure to classic literature. The pictures are very well done and it is funny to see the mice in full English uniforms and the cats dressed up as Axis forces. I found this book in a box at the school where I work, so someone didn't find it as funny as I did, but I'm glad I had a chance to know it exists.
