Nora Pepper, a private chef and reluctant psychic, has a lot on her plate: a run-in with her high school nemesis, Vivian Waldemar-Spruce, dealing with her artist grandmother, Bernie Pepper and Great Aunt Bobbi who are rumored to be "witches" and a roller coaster relationship with her handsome ex-husband and police detective, Lucien Pike. Add to that the specter of a set of dead twins and a nerdy (probably crazy) ghost hunter and you definitely have one psychic chef who finds herself in some particularly deep hot water when she is pushed to investigate the 70+ year old cold case of Bettie Pepper, her missing great-aunt, who disappeared in 1938.

Great read!

This is a quick and easy read, perfect for a snowy afternoon at home. I enjoyed the characters and the suspense, as well as the paranormal aspects of the story. Can't wait for book 2!
