If asked who is my favorite indigenous scholar on international relation studies, I shall offer my answer without any vacillation . MR Yan Xuetong shall definitely ranks the first in my reading list .
If I have to recommend scholars in China who can persuasively and profoundly deliberate his academic perspectives with enormous coherence , Mr Yan is on my top list.
If I have to predict whose scholastic research could stand the test of time, my tendency is with him.
Which perspective will prevail in predicting IR arena, Moral realism or aggressive realism of Mr John Mearsheimer? I shall be prone to the first.
The book currently has no English version but I expect it will have one in the near future. The book is not perfect, as no books can. But it is worth a read.
I rarely recommend any scholars or books to anyone, well, Mr Yan is an exception.
