After finishing "Hazy Skies," by Jonathan D. Kahl, I now have a better understanding on how air pollution has evolved and how we can cut down the use of pollutions everyday in our community. The author talked a lot about what air pollution is mainly made of and where it comes from. He said that most big cities like Los Angeles and New York City have really bad air pollution. Even going to the extent that in the summer time in California, it can sometimes be hazardous to go outside. I was really surprised once I had read that, if air pollution can affect your health then we really need to make a change. Although there are some rules about how much air pollution you can let out each day for factories and such, we really should revise those rules because technology is growing so fast and new products are being made. That means more waste is being thrown out. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in the enviroment or health. This book has given me a couple of ideas of what I want to do for my CAP Stone Project.
