Among the articles reprinted from Mad Magazine are "The First Hurrah", "You Know Your Election Campaign is in Trouble When..", " Anyone Can Be President", "Mad's Acadamy Awards for Politians", "The ABC's of Politics", "When a Politician Says...)He Really Means...)", "Political Movie of the Past 'Mr. Smitty Comes to Washington'", and "Mr. Smite Takes Washington". Timeless political satire from Mad Magazine. Not much has changed other than the names of those involved, except for the fact that this was done in the spirit of satire and not just out-and-out meanness as in today's climate. .

Warner Books published Leo Silverstone’s graphic comic satire “Politically Mad” in 1976. The book extols forces that influence long standing 40+ year political cycles. It is an interesting read —especially for political nerds and present day naysayers.(P)
