This is a great book if you want to really want to know more about Git and you are coming from the beginner side where you only do, git {push, pull, commit, add}.

I would highly recommend to verify what the book says with practice so that you can add an additional layer to the learning process. It's not a book to read while you are at airport either at bed. Definitely you need to seat down and take a time to grasp.
