For more than 20 years, Gene Amole’s columns have been delighting the readers of the Rocky Mountain News. Whether he’s writing about family, old Denver, seasons, technology, values, public works, holidays, or men at war, Amole’s wisdom, wit, and humanity have earned him a loyal following throughout Colorado. Amole’s fine writing and broadcasting skills have earned him numerous awards, including, at various times and from various organizations, Man of the Year (twice), Journalist of the Year, Columnist of the Year (three times), Broadcaster of the Year, and Educator of the Year. He was inducted into the Denver Press Club Hall of Fame in 1997 and was named journalism’s "Shining Star," the Colorado Press Association's highest honor, in 1998. His columns have been collected in two previous "Morning" was published in 1984 and "Amole Again" in 1987. "Amole One More Time" is his first new collection in more than ten years.
