Sadly out-of-print now. Still in my story files is "Little Green Riding Hood" by Gianni Rodari -- which I used very successfully in story time for pre-schoolers. Thank goodness there were TWO performers (so the second performer could cue the kids until they rose to the spirit of the tale).

Here's a link to hear the script: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0oUa... And here's a link to the script: http://talesoffaerie.blogspot.com/201...

I had a paper sack puppet on which I'd drawn a face. I clothed it with different cloaks.

This is a compilation of some of the pieces pulled from Cricket magazine's first year of publication. I only realized Clifton Fadiman had a role in its creation after reading his daughter's memoir (The Wine-Lover's Daughter). Reading through this made me remember how much I loved getting Cricket magazine as a child and has ensured my daughter will be getting a subscription sooner rather than later.
