Lucky Valentino didn't believe in love. It was nothing more than whispers, rumors and lies. His world was just fine with the men who passed by for a moment. WHISPERS, RUMORS, & LIES is not part of a series – instead, we have several couples finding their way to one another within these covers, but the main couple is Lucky and Angelo.
Neither of them were slut-puppies. Nor were they frost kings. They had each just come to the conclusion that love was nothing more than a greeting card sentiment. They had each heard too many whispers, been the victim of too many rumors, and seen the damage from too many lies.
In these pages, I found that it truly is “love that binds us all.” You know I don’t care who you snuggle up with at night – just don’t tell me about it! You don’t want to hear me either – I’m old, LOL. What matters in the end is that we love and we are loved.
I’m really excited that I do have another book from C.J. Baty to begin right away and already disappointed to know that I don’t have more!

A good little novella for a quick read. I really liked how everyone gets their own HEA in some form, just the two main characters. I just wish it was a little bit longer. I would have loved to have spent more time with everyone.

I never really was interested in the M/M genre and tended to just put them off to the side. C.J. Baty is the first person that was able to write these books well enough that they kept me interested. Like the title says there are whispers, rumors and lies that have been plaguing one of our characters and he decided he wasn't interested in love anymore. The characters are well written and are complex, funny, and scared to trust again. The book is well written and the plot flows well.
