I was crazy excited to see Ashley & Drake were back! I've loved this story from the very beginning and was not disappointed at all. Ashley & Drake pick up right after book 3, continuing with their drama. I love how true Ashley is. She is very typical for young (early 20's) women, even if that made her come across as a bit whiny. Drake is very tolerant and in control, as he runs his own business. When Drake's past comes knocking on their front door, it's time for everyone to make some tough choices and figure out what they each really want. Love can only get you so far, before the real work begins.
I definitely miss the sexy, edgier quality the earlier books in this series had and I'm not quite clear on why they had been to "cleaned up", so to speak. Nevertheless, this is a still a good story and Ms. Stevens always does a good job with showing that people - even in the throes of love! - are very human, with doubts and fears that need to be faced before successfully moving on in a relationship.
When you find the love of your life and stick together there is nothing you can't do. I wished more people in live did this instead of talking divorce as soon as they face a trial. This is an amazing series. I have to say things happened in th is book I never saw coming that is when it's a good book. I loved this series.
