The Kojiki itself is great. This translation is questionable and is filled with spelling mistakes of basic English words. The structure of the book is also unusual and not very intuitive, breaking up the narrative in awkward places. It is also missing the majority of the Kojiki, mostly focusing on the first major section of the original work without any annotations, footnotes or insights that translations typically have.

I've ordered the newer translation by Gustav Heldt, which I expect to be much better.

Phenomenal story, just a shoddy translation. Many names are incorrect and spelling errors seemed to go unnoticed
