Amazing book! A must read! This book tells! you what you need to know before surgery so you can prepare unlike information you get from other who only want to talk about pain. If you are well prepare you will be comfortable and I t will be a positive experience!
I didn’t discover this book until 2 days AFTER my surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff. Although I sometimes thought the author was over cautious she does remind her readers that everyone heals at a different rate, shoulder surgeries can differ in intensity and severity and that the most important things are: don’t rush things, get LOTS of rest, don’t forget to eat and above all, you’ll need help and will need to ASK for it.
Fabulous book for those facing shoulder surgery! I am facing a rotator cuff tear and it had lots of good advice, what to expect as well as items to purchase to make your recovery more comfortable. I highly recommend this book for anyone facing surgery!!
Very good advice for what to expect if you are having shoulder surgery. These tips will make it so much easier (I hope) when I get my total shoulder replacement.
Easy to read, funny, sets expectations, helpful ideas
My experience has been somewhat different but her attitude and ideas are wonderful. She encountered many of the same issues i did. Good for anyone, especially women, with surgery coming up or in recovery.
As I sit in my recliner with a sling and ice pack on my dominant shoulder, it's been helpful to read about the phases of recovery and benefit from many useful tips.
It was OK. I'm a little for academically advanced. It encouraged me to take it easy but I wanted more actual information. Great for someone who isn't as geeky as I am.
I am having rotator cuff surgery in a few days. This book is chock full of suggestions to address all those questions about how one survives with one arm! I feel much better prepared!
A ton of great information for those that have never had shoulder surgery . Great product reviews for items you WILL need after your shoulder surgery .
