Mediocre adaptation of the biblical account.

A few issues:
1. Why is Jonah being drawn as white? Y'all know he was middle eastern...right?
2. He went to Tarshish, not Spain. Nobody really knows where Tarshish was, so just saying "went the other way" would have been much more accurate. Readers this age probably couldn't place Spain on a map, anyway, so you could have put Tarshish and it wouldn't have made any difference except making it more accurate.
3. The ending is so sweet and happy...except the biblical account doesn't' end that way. If you're going to tell a story, tell the whole thing. The flaws and failings of a person are just as important as the successes, and our kids need to know that we can fail and fall even after a success.

So...meh. There are better adaptations for young readers, and I would select one of those first.
