Cyborg Warrior' Son by Gloria Martin is a very short, quick and easy read. We meet Cathleen and Shawn who have a short, but significant history. Cathleen's life changes in an instant one drunken night out. A one-night-stand will change everything. She sets off for a fresh start and is working as a lab assistant.
Her past revisits her in the form of Cyborg Shawn who comes to town with his platoon of cyborgs to protect them from alien attack. What happens when he comes to town? What will he make of her situation? What happens if and when the aliens attack? Will Cathleen be able to leave the past behind and embrace a new future?
I would like to have read a longer, more detailed version of this story. It was a little too quick and was missing backstory, story and character development- and lacked the depth that would have elevated the whole tale.

Thank you, Ms. Martin!

It is the same as the last one by Gloria Martin.
It was such a quick read, but it was too short for me. I thought it should have been longer and had more conflict with the book. The characters I like them but I didn't love them, they fell short of me. It was like there was hardly any development between them or separated. Maybe that was the shortest of the novella itself. Next was the plot line, it was good but I think it has been done before as well. If some of it was a bit different would be better. It also needed more conflict between the worlds, people, and even the characters.

If this was much longer and had more time to develop the characters, plot line, conflict, it would be a five stars novella for me and possibly more people.

Once upon a drunken night...

Cathleen will always remember the night she was drunk, or at least the lasting consequences she ended up with because of a reckless decision made while drunk that night. Thankfully Shawn is one back of a Cyborg hero.

The title story is a short quick read, a done in one that could have used a little more details about the Aliens, but basically this is a fun, light and fast read.
