He is a qualified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction teacher, registered yoga teacher, certified scrum master, technology executive, and adjunct faculty member at Columbia University where he earned his masters and doctoral degrees.
He has presented in a wide range of settings including the Meaningful World Annual Mind-Body-Eco-Spirit Festival at the United Nations, the Academy of Management annual meeting in Montreal, and international conferences focused on data science technologies.
In the business realm Douglas leads highly leveraged programs, typified in a recent project that produced a 35x benefit/cost ratio in the first year. He received the Citi Private Bank Dazzle award, and was nominated for the Citi Private Bank Client Service Excellence Award.
As a mindfulness instructor Douglas works with organizations and with individuals. He bears first-hand experience in healing stress and chronic pain through mindfulness meditation, and embraces opportunities to bring these practices to others.
His work as author and series technical advisor yielded a highly successful body of books and videos published by McGraw-Hill and Prentice Hall.
