Let me say from the start, I enjoy Amish romance for the most part. It is usually pretty sweet and fairly quick to read. Sometimes it makes me tear up or feel all tender and squishy inside when a character does something especially precious and sweet. I don't have to worry about anything heaving or bulging overly much and there is none of the poorly written sex scenes to have to slog through. However, a lot of it is awkwardly written and makes me giggle a lot because I am not sure how some of the characters manage to get themselves dressed or fed on a day to day basis. That does NOT represent every book or character ok? Just a general rule that I have observed in my 44 years.

So, I downloaded this one today. Oh the angst!!!! Will he look at her? Will she look at him? What about the babies? So much drama and most of it could be solved with two sentences if just ONE of the people involved would adult for a moment and say it. But then again, maybe the Amish people don't do that sort of thing? I don't know. I would make a terrible Amish lady. I would have been banished early on. Probably have my picture posted in Amish stores and such just to warn others of my subversive behavior. But back to the book. I like to know what my people look like. I know Eli has brown eyes and seems to be fit. Is he tall? Short? Warty? Does he have 6 toes on one foot? What about Sarah? What color hair does she have? I know it is all covered with her hat but I still need to know. Does she have a hook nose or is she pidgeon toed? I like to form a connection to the characters and I did not feel like the start of this one gave me that. Maybe in the next few chapters it will be revealed. But I don't know that I will ever know because it feels like too much work to go find the next 3 chapters or whatever it is and buy it. I feel like this is going to be a good series but I feel a little tricked. I downloaded the first one for free on Amazon and did not realize it is really just a few chapters of the book. Like it took me 10 minutes to read it while I am sitting at my desk at work. Then I realized the whole book is broken into just a few chapters before you have to buy the next one. Sigh.......I guess right now I will have to wait and see if I get around to finding the next few chapters.

This is a wonderful Amish romance series! Great for young teen readers. The Amish Twins is book 1 in The Amish of Pride series. Newly widowed and having her husbands baby gets her thinking the baby needs a father in her life. So she starts thinking about someone from her past who she loved. Her feelings for Eli have never left her but she isn't sure she should be thinking on this so soon after her husband dying. Can they work through pass mistakes in their lives and make it work?

Sarah, Levi & Eli have always been friends. So when Eli suggests Sarah & Levi marry, what could go wrong? Eli moves away & marries only to return a widower to find Sarah a widow. When Sarah finds a set of abandoned twins on her doorstep what is she to do? While I enjoyed this book, at times it felt like the author continued to rehash the same problems over & over so that the story dragged. All in all, anot enjoyable read.

Clean romance with characters that wrap you around their hearts and keep you waiting for every word.

I gave this a 4 only because I was soooo frustrated with Sarah and Eli for not seeing and going after the opportunity and Love right before then. Their encounters are so funny and playful. I really don’t know too much about the Amish culture and this was eye opening.

Eli and Sarah have secretly loved each other since childhood. They both married other people and became widowed. Can they put aside the pain and guilt they live with and find true love again? Rated G

Good storyline: Love lost--love regained. I enjoyed feisty Aunt Miriam as she tires her matchmaking skills. There were many issues mentioned- mainly guilt and shame because of wrong choices made. I had hope there would of been a different outcome for the twins.

100% not worth the read. Nothing happens. Romance? Unconvinced. And the 'amish twins' were barely in the book.

The loving baby left behind

It sad when someone can't take care babies and just gave it to someone else that would take care those babies that person lost their baby their self and it hard to move on with your life!!! It so nice to have a baby of your own if you can do it and support the baby.

It's a trick I tell you! It sucks you into the journey with the babies and you have to stay to see what happens with the babies and with Eli and Sarah. Miriam is a hoot! On to book 2, 3, etc.

Good story but too short. Twins are left on an Amish doorstep. No one knows who could have put them there.

This is a fast read. I am usually on who can skim over parts of the boring parts, well not with this book because it kept you interested the whole time.

Good

Well-written and draws at your heart strings. I like the characters. However, it ends with a cliff hangar and you have to read the next book to find out how it ends.
