In this memoir, Bruce describes his training, his year in Vietnam, and the "coming home" process which formed part of a lifelong spiritual journey. Bruce explores how his Christian faith influenced his decision to be a medic and how his faith was affected by his experiences in the war and as a veteran.

A very honest memoir of one man's intellectual and spiritual journey in which a year as a combat medic served as context and catalyst. The author of this book is a most gentle and kind person, and his honesty and courage are not to be questioned. With gratitude, I endorse his book!
