This book gives a clear guide on how to practice philosophy with different groups of people, especially young children. It also offers hopeful insights on how practicing philosophy with various groups of people can improve their individual lives (by enhancing their reasoning skills, academic skills, courage and more), but also the communities they live in. It also seems rational, as well as professional that guiding the philosophical activities with these groups should be done by a person who has extensive knowledge on as well philosophy, as logic and not just by any amateur, for that might be harmful. Philosophy is after all a craft.

Concerning the improvements children and other people make in their individual lives as a result of attending COPI-sessions I would've liked to see more empirical evidence and examples. However, these improvements should still help us remember that practicing philosophy can be beneficial to individual lives of people and for society as a whole.

How can a book on how to guide philosophical discussion be so utterly boring? I recommend Big Ideas for Little Kids instead.
