In the biography of Eminem by Stephanie Lane it goes through his every day life and what he had to go through as a child. I like this biography first of all because I'm a fan of Eminem but also because it shows a lot of details you probably wouldn't know if you didn't read the book. I liked the authors writing style and how the author went through a timeline starting from when he was born all the way up to present time. It really makes you feel like you know everything about the rapper. I would recommend reading this biography if you are interested in learning everything about Eminem or writing a report.

The amazing non-fictional biography Eminem is written by the world’s famous author Stephanie Lane. This biography mainly talks about Eminem’s life and when he was a singer. Eminem was born on October 17, 1972. His real name was Marshal Bruce Mather III but they started calling him Eminem when he became a rapper. He had a solo career from when he started singing. Eminem was and still is a rapper, record producer, songwriter, and an actor. He is the best rapper in the world, he raps faster than anyone. Eminem was the best-seller of 2000s and in June 2014 he was the second best-seller. He won Grammy Awards for both Relapse and Recovery. He won 15 Grammy’s in his entire solo career. Eminem has a bunch of popular songs but the most famous ones are I’m not Afraid and Rap God. One of his movies that he made was called 8 mile where Eminem does some hip-hop which he was good at. After the two songs Relapse and Recovery Eminem was known world-wide, it was his second album after The Eminem Show. Eminem was also known as the king of hip-hop thanks to his talent. During his career singers like Rihanna or Adam Levine asked Eminem to help them with the rapping part of their song because Eminem was fast enough to perform a song with them. He helped Rihanna in the song Monster and Adam Levine in the song My Life where also 50 cent was. Eminem is a fine singer that has a good career as a rapper and he is now 40 years old.

At first this book talks about Eminem's childhood. He had a really tough and bad childhood. First, Eminem was raised by a young mother without a father. This was a problem because his mom was on drugs and beat him regularly. Eminem and his mom also were poor so they had to move around a lot for his mom to find a job. Another reason this great rapper had a tough childhood is that is constantly got bullied. He got bullied a lot because he was one of the very few whites in Detroit, where he lived. At first, Eminem didn't get accepted a rapper because of his skin color. These are just two of the countless reasons that Eminem had a very tough childhood.
There are many people who did not like Eminem at all. One person who didn't like him at all was his mother Debbie. Debbie disliked him a lot because he would rap a lot about her and how she was a bad mother using offensive language. Later on Eminem's mom sued him for a lot of money saying that everything he said was not true. Many other people also didn't like Eminem. They didn't like him because of his violence in his songs and his offensive language towards women. In an interview the rapper insists that he is not against women and just uses those words to show how he felt at that very moment. Eminem also claims that he is very aggressive when he raps because he lets out all of his anger and frustration from the past years. In all, there are many people against Eminem.

I chose to read a biography Eminem written by Lane. The reason why I picked Eminem is because I know many songs which are composed and sang by him and when I listened to the lyrics carefully, the lyrics sounded very real and it touched me. It sounded like as if he was writing his own real experience as a lyric, therefore I really wanted to know what he had gone though in his life. I would recommend this book to the people who are very open-minded. This biography tells that Eminem’s lyric contains controversial topics that the young kids are not supposed to listen to and he criticizes women and people who are homosexual etc. And his life involves with drug and jail etc which I don’t really want the young kids to read it yet. But what I love about Eminem is that he does not hide his feeling and thoughts about anything. He just writes what he truly feel at that time and so, just by listening to his song, we can know what he had gone through at that time. I didn’t know that Eminem had a painful and miserable pass, so I learned that is why he writes such a deep lyrics and why they can touch so many people’s heart. The length of the biography is 109pages so it is not long and it is a very interesting biography so I am sure you won’t put the book down until you read the whole biography.

It's very interesting to read so much about Eminem's life. It is a very interesting story. I love that this is a relatively short biography, but it also provides lots of information. It gives a lot of insight into Eminem's way of thinking and his music.
