Uston was a true gamer; he actually physically tested each game system and cartridge in order to write this book. Based on my own limited experiences, his judgments seemed to be pretty accurate, and jive with contemporary reviews of the day. The book offers only thumbnail reviews of each game and system, but is an interesting time capsule of the home video game market just before the crash. Look and feel of the book is dated now and the graphic layout is poor, but for what it is, the book is a valuable historical document rather than a detailed look at the games themselves.
