This is a good intro to nutrition for cyclists, providing info not just for racers, but also for touring or long distance cyclists as well. The information is presented clearly and logically. The take home lesson is to eat the appropriate nutrients in the correct quantities, at the right time. The authors show you how to do this, providing examples and offering alternatives to less healthy choices. I give the authors extra points for "in line" citing of their sources when they dispel some common myths.

The good thing: a book written by people that TRULY know what they're talking about, both from a nutritional and from a cycling point of view.

The not so good part: the book is not so technical as it could be, and there are a lot of common-sense suggestions that make it sound like your mom's advice at times, besides being the same kind of advice you read in magazines or blogs all the time.
