It has phonetic pronunciation, which is a necessity I think for a beginning French book and not all beginning French books have this feature.

This book has some useful phrases, but it is missing some that most travelers would need:
"Where is the bathroom?"
"Which direction is the..."
"I would like to book a room for tonight..."
"I would like to order the grilled fish, please..."
But perhaps that is because this is for children, not adults.

The activities are a nice touch, but less fun when you are reading by yourself and tired. "I won!"

Still, I learned some more French dirty talk: "What are you wearing?" ;)
