Christie is caffeine addict who writes in coffee shops. She lives with her husband and two cats in a small house surrounded by lavender and rosemary. With a BA in Creative Writing from Goddard College, she worked at UCLA in the '60s. In the early 70s she came to Santa Cruz and began writing stories from myth and dreams. She edits the newsletter for Monterey Bay Fiction Writers and belongs to Broad Universe, women Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror writers. She's had stories in mytholog.com and White Cat Magazine. "The Whitewood Kitarra," introducing her troubadour hero, appeared in the Spring 2013 issue of American Athenaeum's Sword and Saga Press and is now available as a stand-alone.
Her favorite authors include J.R.R. Tolkien, Terry Pratchett, Carol Berg, Agatha Christie, Laurie R. King, and Patricia McKillip.
