Bixby knew nothing about djinn or curses when she made an impossible deal with a stranger in a dream- her freedom in exchange for her brother’s life. But Jordan delivered, and her life has been nothing but a nightmare since.
The curse is over, but nothing can erase the pain caused by evil, and now human and djinn alike struggle to find their way in the darkness. With no one else to trust, they must work together to save what they can of the lives they all once had. But tensions rise as secrets are revealed and soon it’s made clear- not everyone is what they seem.
"Season's End" is the last book of the Hemlock Bay series. All three were fun reads. YA paranormal with the usual love interest, strong female character (if a bit dumb and stubborn), and the hot non-human guy. Some twists in this one. Still a few editing issues, not a big deal. Some questions were answered and others were left hanging. I realized we had a few characters pop in just to disappear with out a trace in the first book, and some surprises in this one, that kind of came out of the blue. I still enjoyed the series and give this one four stars. I liked it. Some mild swearing and violence. No sexual content. I can recommend for teens and up.
This book is my favorite in the series and was truly worth the wait. I would recommend this series to anyone looking for a little more magic in our own world.
