Ginna Moran is the author of an array of both paranormal and contemporary young adult novels including the Demon Within, Falling into Fame, and Spark of Life series.
She started writing poetry as a teenager in a spiral notebook that she still has tucked away on her desk today. Her love of writing grew after she graduated high school and she completed her first unpublished manuscript at age eighteen.
When she realized her love of writing was her life’s passion, she studied literature at Mira Costa College in Northern San Diego. Besides writing young adult novels, she was senior editor, content manager, and image coordinator for Crescent House Publishing Inc. for four years.
Aside from Ginna’s professional life, she enjoys binge watching television shows, playing pretend with her daughter, and cuddling with her dogs. Some of her favorite things include chocolate, anything that glitters, cheesy jokes, and organizing her bookshelf.
Ginna is currently hard at work on her next novel.
I was really excited to get started on this book. It took me longer than normal because of a house full of sick people, but I enjoyed this book very much. I was ready to see how things would play out with Nate and Mira and see if things would get fixed. I felt like it was one thing after another and it almost drug the book out a bit. I stayed interested though and on edge. I'm excited for the next book that I hope is coming. Definitely would recommend this book and series.
Book 2 of Finding Nate series reminds me of another series- Divergent. And the name 'Veronica' just makes it a bit more weird.
Still I quite enjoyed the book and in the end, that's what matters. But, I couldn't shake the feeling of it being very similar to Insurgent. Moving on I was happy to find that the book continues in perfect harmony with the previous one. It's difficult to accomplish that and Ginna has done it brilliantly! The characters again stole my heart and the constant plot twists made me pull an all nighter.
I loved Nate and Evie in book 2 but I started really not liking Mira. Like not at all. She seems self centered and angry and not nice! She's the reason Evie and Nate are not enjoying their time together and no! POSSIBLE SPOILER AHEAD Also, why doesn't she stop using her powers all the time?! Nate is hurting! But, the epilogue calmed me down with a small line by Mira- '...the wall I've built around my power to protect Nate...' I think I jumped and screamed FINALLY! I'm expecting a lot to be revealed about Mira and her strange powers in further books.
The epilogues are a boon for readers and Ginna sure made it one.
I liked the book and I can definitely read it again! Also, another great thing about this book is that it can be read as a stand alone.
