See Hiking the Black Hills Country, 3rd Edition, for fully updated and revised hike information to get the most out of this hiker's paradise.
Hiking the Black Hills Country includes detailed descriptions and maps of fifty-five trails, from Devils Tower National Monument and Mount Rushmore National Memorial to Custer State Park, Wind Cave, and Badlands National Park.
This is what I read for my non fiction book for 3rd quarter. It is more of a guide than a book. It gives detailed discriptions of over 50 different trails that you can hike in the black hills. It tells about how long it took people to hike it and what things you can expect to see on the way. It isnt like a normal book, because it is broken into parts like chapters that talk about the different places to go. This book isnt for everyone, if you would never want to go hiking in the black hills then for sure don't read this book. On the other hand if you were going to go there this summer and wanted to go on a hike then this book would be an excelent choice. This book would not be a book that you would want to read if you wanted a fast non fiction book. It is kind of boaring and hard to read, but it gives excelent information.
