This is cleverly presented, paralleling the weather outside with the weather inside of the house on a much smaller schedule. It's not too heavy on the science of the situation, only giving enough information to provide a young reader with an understanding of how water comes in many different forms. I liked its simplicity.

This book can be used to teach parallelism while also teaching about the different states of matter

This book is a great way to teach children the water cycle through common occurrences, especially during the winter months.

In this book, the water cycle is demonstrated through the eyes of a boy who watches the weather outside. (Although it is told in 3rd person). Throughout the day, Tony sees how water has a way of changing. This would be a nice introduction to the water cycle for the younger grades.

Reading this book aloud to younger children is a good way to teach them about meteorology. It is especially good for second graders.
