The New "N" Word: The White Middle Class

Rate this book
The great question before our country now is when will middle-class Americans, especially the white middle class, finally wake up and realize that now they are the new "n" words and are being discriminated against and exploited. If you are white, maybe you can't see this because this kind of treatment used to be reserved for us (African Americans). But the fact is that they are treating you with disdain and you are getting poorer and poorer. They are taking the American Dream away from you and your children by refusing to invest in the education and training that leads to opportunities for higher-paying jobs, occupations, and professions. Our elected officials have sold you out to some of the super-rich elitists, seeing you as cheap labor, just like they saw us.

I won this book in a giveaway. I have to admit, the title of this book caught my interest. I was curious what this book had to be about. I was lucky enough to win a copy on goodreads. I found this book to be very well done and quite educational. Jim Hill grew up with a single mother in Georgia. He witnessed first had the civil rights movements during the 1960s. Mr. Hill brings up an important subject. How the middle class is no longer successful and enjoy the profits and living styles they did a couple decades ago. The title of this book explains how the white middle class are now being treated like the "N" word. It is caused by top few percent of those people who are CEOS of companies, rich billionaire families like the Koch brothers who only care about their gain in this world by taking away from the middle class. He writes how women are treated making less money than men. How in the military that 20 percent of these women who join are attacked sexually by men in the military. He makes some good points. Like we pass judgement on minorities, and gays. How we tend to divide and conquer instead of getting along and joining together to make the USA great. He has some interesting opinions of why The middle class have become the new "N" word. I am not too great and trying to explain more of this book. but I would recommend to give this a try. Jim Hill comes up with some good points.
