Guide to the John D. Crummey Peace Collection in the Hoover Institution Archives (Volume 75)

Rate this book
This is the first general survey of all the published and unpublished peace resources in the multinational collections housed in the Hoover Institution's Library and Archives. The guide is divided into three parts. Part one describes special collections, which include the personal papers of such distinguished peace activists as Alfred Fried, David Starr Jordan, and Alice Park. Other notable collections in this section are the records of the America First Committee, the minutes of the founding congresses of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom, the archives of War Resisters International, the International Peace Poster Collection, and the records of the Paris Peace Conference of 1919—1921. A register of the numerous private and public peace societies whose files are housed in the library appears in part two. Part three contains a general listing of the institution's extensive collection of peace-related serials, a bibliography, and an index.
