As a Californian, this book made me feel understood. The only thing I would add is a pronunciation guide to the phrase "Silicon Valley."

Lots of fun and well-designed. The graphics center on a talking California bear. The bear demonstrates tech speak, Northern California speak and Southern California speak among other specialties. A terrific gift book

So funny! I'm a Californian so I recognize a lot of these as being true. As a Baby Boomer, I didn't know some of the newer ones so it was helpful to know what my friends' kids are saying! And surprisingly, I didn't know some of these were California slang! I thought they were just regular expressions. LOL.

Also, super cute illustrations of the California bear signifying the section of the book...Hollywood, Surf, So. Cal etc.

Fun book!
