God, I read this book when I was a kid. I've been trying to remember the name for years, and only just now stumbled upon it. What a delightful find. :)
I never heard of this book before finding it for sale at my local library. This could have been a very interesting series for the creator of Encyclopedia Brown. I really enjoyed the premise, and the setup for even greater adventures that might have been.
