I feel like, now that the third book is here, I'm starting to learn more about Cat and what makes her tick. She's smart, but can be impulsive too. She isn't afraid to put herself in a dangerous situation if she feels that it will help her achieve her goals. She's also got a big heart.
This story ties up a few loose ends from the last one and sees the reappearance of all the previous characters while introducing a really likeable new one too. I love Gus Blue and I sincerely hope he's back in future stories!
I'm now eagerly awaiting the fourth book, which I hear is on the way.

Another outstanding book in the Cat Collier Mystery series. Cat always seems to find herself smack in the middle of another crazy adventure. She escapes a train, with the help of a homeless man who was once a famous sax player. Every single aspect of this novel, like the previous ones, are well crafted, and highly engaging! I love Cat and her group of friends and employees who help her figure out the mysteries that she keeps getting into. Cat isn't afraid to get into a questionable situation if it is the right thing to do, but sometimes she doesn't always think before she leaps. This book was just like that. We pick up at the end of book 2, and keep on rolling, and it sets us up perfectly for book 4! I'm so excited to see what is in store in April Yellow Moon, because the twists and turns in March Blues kept me on my toes! Love Cat!

An engaging and well paced short read

The third in Carol Ann Kauffman’s mystery novella series featuring vivacious private investigator Cat Collier, ‘March Blues’ continues the development of the main characters’ stories while Cat investigates some new cases and discovers that not all mysteries are as open and shut as she would like.

While the story is vey entertaining, complexity is added by the issues of trust and integrity and the consequences of choices made in the past that both confront the characters and prompt the reader to think about what their own actions might be in similar circumstances.

I enjoyed reading ‘March Blues’. It’s an engaging and well paced short read.

This is the third book in the Cat Collier series. The first January Black Ice sets the stage. Both are short, clean romances with heartbreak and healing. Dietrick, Carter's father is as manipulative as ever--but in a good way!! There are some mysteries to be solved by Cat--and some truths to be revealed by Carter.

Terrific. Things are looking good. Her relationship and her agency are going great guns. Cases such as the change of behaviour in a teenage girl are being closed fast. However the case of the stalker is still open and rears it's ugly head. Kidnapping her leads not only to a breakup with her boyfriend but also a new friend and venture for her boyfriend's father. Will the case ever be closed? Will true love win out?

I keep waiting

I keep waiting for this to get good. I feel like there are so many gaps in this story. It has potential to be really good but it's rushed and almost poorly written.

Carol Ann Kauffman has got to stop leaving me hanging at the end of the book. Not just me but all of you readers. I was so into this book that when I finished the last page, I couldn't figure out why the page on my kindle wouldn't turn. So Good! Good Book!
Let's see, how to sum it up without giving any spoilers. Cat is kidnapped and held in a train car. She escapes and falls over a homeless man, nice guy. He hide's her from the bad guys and she takes him back to her office so he can clean up, clean clothes and a hot meal. Cat tell's Detrick about him and his name and Detrick knows him.
Detrick decides to open up a bar in the hotel and has Cat, Fred and Nola help set things up. It turns out fantastic and is a big hit. Good drink's, great food and amazing music.
Cat gets a new client and she has to give an enevolope to this guys son in New York City. Then you hit the wall of the end! Good Book! So Good!

MARCH BLUES (CAT COLLIER MYSTERY BOOK 3) CAROL ANN KAUFFMAN

The presence of Carter, Cat and Nola is having a profound effect on Detrick Bittmore in a positive way. The author has softened the once crotchety and rather crooked attorney.
Once again we are treated to a novella that is full of romance, humor and a bit of action. I could not put this book down and enjoyed every word. This is another five-star read!
